Task Archive Feature
Summary
We’re excited to introduce the Task Archive feature, giving you more control over managing completed or outdated tasks without cluttering your active views.
What’s New
You can now archive tasks when they’re no longer relevant or required for daily work.
Archived tasks are stored in a dedicated archive view, so you can retrieve them if needed.
Archiving keeps your task lists lean and focused without permanently deleting data.
How It Works
From your task details, click to archive in a similar manner to changing the status.
Enter a reason for the task being archived.
Access archived tasks anytime by searching for them with the QA/Archive task status in the filters.
Why It’s Useful
Reduces clutter in active task views.
Helps teams stay focused on current priorities.
Provides a safe way to “clean up” without losing historical context.
Cross-Department Task Delegation
Summary
We’ve made task assignment more flexible! With Cross-Department Delegation, you can now delegate tasks to users outside of your department, making collaboration smoother across the entire organization.
What’s New
Tasks can be assigned to any user, regardless of their department.
Improved visibility of task ownership, with clear indicators of the assignee’s department.
Notifications ensure that cross-department assignments are never missed.
How It Works
When reassinging a task, you can now see all users across the organisation. Just select the desired person.
To ensure the task doesn't get stuck inbetween, you can now choose that users department to assign the task against.
If a user doesn't have a department, the system will help protect against making orphan data and prompt against the action.
Why It’s Useful
Promotes better collaboration across teams.
Reduces bottlenecks by making it easier to assign work where it’s needed.
Enhances accountability with clear tracking of cross-department tasks.
