How to submit a debrief (with learning)

  • Navigate to the left-hand menu
    On the main interface, locate and select the Debrief option.



  • Add a Debrief
    After selecting Debrief, click on the Add Debrief button to begin.



  • Select an Option
    Click the blue button to choose the appropriate category: Incident, Exercise, or Training



  • View Existing Incidents
    Scroll to the bottom of the page to find a list of existing incidents. If you wish to create a debrief for one of these, simply click the blue icon located at the bottom of the image.

  • Create a New Debrief
    To create a new debrief, click the blue "Create a New One" button.



  • Select a Category
    Use the dropdown menu to choose Incident, Exercise, or Training.

  • Incident Selection (if Incident is chosen)
    If Incident is selected, you'll be prompted to enter the incident number.

  • Date
    The date will automatically be set to the current date.

  • Choose the Incident
    Select the appropriate incident from the list provided.

  • Add the Incident
    Click the + Add button, then click Select to confirm your choice.



  • Add Learning Outcome
    If learning has been identified, click the + Add Learning Outcome button.



  • Complete the Learning Outcome Form
    Include the Theme, Source, and Type.

  • Add Learning Outcome Details
    Enter a clear description of the learning outcome.

  • Attach Supporting Files
    Add any relevant images, files, emails, or other attachments.

  • Submit the Learning Outcome
    Click the green Submit button to save.

  • Return to the Debrief
    You will be returned to the debrief, where you will see the learning outcome displayed in the highlighted red area.

  • Add Additional Learning Outcomes
    If more than one learning outcome has been identified, click the blue + Add Learning Outcome button and repeat the process.

  • No Limit on Learning Outcomes
    There is no limit to the number of learning outcomes you can add to a debrief.



  • View Debrief in the Debrief List
    When you return to the Debrief List, you will see the debrief along with any associated learning outcomes.
