In the Assurance Monitoring System (AMS), a "Source" is an essential attribute for Debriefs and Tasks. It helps in organising and generating reports based on the origin of these entries. This guide walks you through the process of adding a new Source within the AMS interface.
Step-by-Step Guide
Navigate to the Manage Sources Page
- Start by logging into the AMS with your credentials.
- From the dashboard, locate the Source section on the left-hand menu.
- Click on Source to expand the submenu, then select Manage Sources.
Access the Add Source Interface
- On the Manage Sources page, you'll see a list of all existing sources.
- Click on the green + Add Source button located at the top of the page. This will open the "Add New Source" form.
Enter Source Details
- In the "Add New Source" form, you need to input the following details:
- Source Name: Type the name of the new source you want to add. For example, "Policy Review."
- Parent Source: If this source is a sub-source of an existing one, select the parent source from the dropdown menu. If it is a top-level source, leave this field blank.
- You can expand the parent source list by clicking the arrows next to the existing sources to see any sub-sources they may have.
Submit the New Source
- Once you've entered the necessary details, click the green Submit button to save the new source.
- A confirmation message "New source added successfully" will appear in the top-right corner of the screen.
Verify the New Source
- The newly added source should now appear in the list of existing sources on the Manage Sources page.
- If it was a top-level source, it will appear at the bottom of the list. If it was a sub-source, it will be nested under the selected parent source.
Additional Information
Editing or Deleting a Source:
- You can edit or delete existing sources by using the action buttons (edit pencil and delete trash can icons) next to each source in the list.
Sub-Sources:
- If you need to organize your sources further, you can follow the steps above to create sub-sources under any existing source, allowing for a more granular classification of Debriefs and Tasks.
By following these steps, you can easily manage and categorize sources within the AMS, ensuring accurate reporting and efficient data organization.
