In the Assurance Monitoring System (AMS), managing the status of tasks is essential to keep track of progress and ensure that actions are completed on time. Changing a task's status allows you to reflect the current state of the task, whether it’s in progress, completed, or requires further action. This guide will walk you through the steps to change the status of a task in AMS and provide a comment justifying the reason for the status change.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to the View Tasks Page

  • Log in to your AMS account.
  • On the left-hand side menu, find and click on "Tasks" to expand the submenu.
  • Select "View Tasks" from the dropdown to open the list of tasks.

Step 2: Select the Task to Change Status

  • In the View Tasks page, you’ll see a list of all tasks assigned to you or your team.
  • Click on the eye icon in the "Actions" column next to the task you want to update. This will open the Task Details page.

Step 3: Access the Change Progress Interface

  • On the Task Details page, locate the "Task Progress" section on the right-hand side.
  • Click the "Change Progress" button to open the dropdown menu of available statuses.

Step 4: Select the New Status and Justify the Change

  • From the dropdown menu, select the appropriate status for the task (e.g., In Progress, Completed).
  • After selecting the new status, a popup window will appear prompting you to add a comment.
  • Enter a brief comment explaining the reason for the status change in the text box provided.
  • Click the "Submit" button to save the change.

Step 5: Confirm the Status Update

  • Once you have submitted the comment, the task status will be updated, and a confirmation message will appear.
  • You can verify the change by returning to the View Tasks page and checking the status column for the updated task.
