Editing and Deleting Comments
- Users with appropriate permissions can edit or delete task comments.
Comment Author Capabilities
- Comment authors can amend their own comments without needing additional permissions.
Permissions for Comment Editing
To ensure that only authorized users can modify comments, AMS has defined specific roles that are allowed to edit task comments:
- Author of Task
- Author of Comment
- Task Comment Moderator
- Manager of Task Author's Department
- Manager of Comment Author's Department
Step-by-Step Guide to Edit and Delete Comments
Editing a Comment
Navigate to Tasks
Go to the
Tasks
section and selectView Tasks
.
View the Task
Click on the task you wish to edit to open its details.
Edit the Comment
Locate the comment you want to edit.
- Click the edit icon (pencil) next to the comment.
- Make the necessary changes in the text box.
- Click
Submit
to save the changes.
Review Changes
The comment will now be marked as [Edited], and the changes will be visible.
Deleting a Comment
Navigate to Tasks
Go to the
Tasks
section and selectView Tasks
.
View the Task
Click on the task you wish to delete the comment from to open its details.
Delete the Comment
Locate the comment you want to delete.
- Click the delete icon (red X) next to the comment.
- Confirm the deletion in the pop-up confirmation dialog.
Confirmation
The comment will be removed from the task.
Viewing Event Logs
To view the detailed history of task events, follow these steps:
Access Event Logs
- Within the task details, scroll to the
Events
section.
View Event Details
- Click on the details icon next to the event you wish to review.
- A pop-up will display the event details, including the old and new values of edited comments.
