Standard AMS Permission Groups Overview

AMS uses permission groups to make sure users have access to the features and tools appropriate to their role within the organisation.

Users

This is the standard user role within AMS. It is designed for operational personnel and staff who contribute to organisational learning.

Users can:

• Submit debriefs and incident information
• Create and update learning outcomes
• View and update tasks assigned to them
• Comment on tasks
• Upload and download files
• Access operational learning relevant to their department

Ops Assurance

This role is intended for Operational Assurance and Organisational Learning teams. It provides enhanced operational management capabilities without access to full system administration settings.

Ops Assurance users can:

• Manage themes and sources
• Create and manage learning outcomes
• Create, assign, and monitor tasks
• Assign tasks across departments
• Access reporting and analytics dashboards
• Monitor organisational learning trends and progress
• Support service-wide assurance processes

Administrator

This is the highest-level permission group within AMS. It is typically reserved for system administrators, senior assurance managers, or platform owners.

Administrators can:

• Manage users and permission groups
• Configure departments and system settings
• Manage themes, sources, and operational data
• Access all reports and dashboards
• Manage platform security settings and MFA
• Delegate and oversee tasks across the organisation
• Moderate comments and maintain governance controls
• Access all debriefs and learning records across the platform
